Hello,

It is useful for selecting between the stock program and the performance program.
Like a ?Normal? and ?Sport? selection switch.

My ECU has 27C512 and I'd like to add a M27C1001 that has the double space and the ability to use the half map by switching somehow between the maps, I know it can be done but I dont know how on this specific chip.

Can someone please tell us the way for this chip please?

Thank you in advance

Hi there:)

If u prefer to use m27c then u can i suppose,but it is better to use a many-time-programmable chip,no waiting for uv erase.

M27C512 = 27SF512
M27C1001 = 27SF1001

There are 2 ways to change maps.

U can use 2x 27SF512's soldered on top of each other,u can then switch between ROMs by using the chip enable pin.

The other way is to use your method of a 2x size chip,u can cycle between higher and lower addresses using a switch.

I would like to know how and i havent found a way that i can switch on-the-fly yet.

I will need to know too;)
