I've just set this up and I'm quite impressed so decided to add a little guide.

1: Download sql epg via the blue button (addons/plugins-->SQL EPG Import plugin 1.2)

2: Set up a network mount point and connect to it.(system settings-->network mount)

3: Press the blue button and select System Settings --> EPG. Now set it to look at the SQL lite database and select your network mount as the storage location.

4: Set up SQLEPG plugin - press the yellow button and select it. Set the following settings:
Package - radiotimes UK
Time offset: 0
Number of days: 1 (saves time, it gets slow otherwise)
Use cron: ticked
Update at: whatever time you like (or if the pc you mounted is not always on set a time it will be on)
Now press the green to save.

5: Select the SQL EPG plugin again and set up the channels you want to download the epg for by pressing the blue button.

The Radiotimes channels are listed on the left window, on the right is the bouquet you are currently in. You need to map these channels to your own channels. For example my dreambox lists BBC1 London but the Radio times has it listed as BBC 1 London and south east. To map them select the radio times channel (by browsing to it and pressing OK) and the focus will now be on the right hand window where you select your dreambox channel (by pressing OK).
After you have finished press Green to save.

6: Go back into the plugin setup and select Retrieve. This may take sometime as it will download the EPG for the channels you have mapped.

First you need to create a shared directory on Your PC-How you do that will depend on your PC's OS.

Have a look at PLi wiki for "how to's". All the info on how to set-up your DM is there (i assume you're using PLi)

PLi? Images website - PLi? Wiki: HomePage (http://www.pli-images.org/modules/wiki/index.php?wakka=HomePage)

The link below is for the How to mount a HDD.

PLi? Images website - PLi? Wiki: E1Mount (http://www.pli-images.org/modules/wiki/index.php?wakka=E1Mount)

I'd recommend the web-if method of mounting the drive-I found this easier than via the DM....

thanks for this excellent guide, with this and the guide on mounting i have successfully sorted my epg on dm500s using plijade max var. Much better than any other epg including nabilio's imo.

It freezes for me, I've tried them all, unable to download the listings:

When I press the yellow button it brings up the "Retrieving data" box.......and then nothing.

What am I doing wrong?

"Auto F5 reload window" options Default timeout* Timeout for this page* Add random value to timeout between 0 and* Show and hide menu Ignore everything after these symbols in URL(separate with spaces) Include the separators in the URL saved Hide menu when clicking outside the menu Prolong timeout on mouseclicks or keyboard input Reload all pages with default timeout, which has no timeout set
*Format examples: hh:mm:ss, h:m:ss, m:sss, s etc. like 1:20:30 oder 500 oder 3:100
