Fiesta mykey master

I've got a newish fiesta with the mykey speed limiter enabled on a slave key. And they have lost master. So can't remove the speed limit. I've never seen one of these. Does programming a new key reset the my key function. Does the new key assume a master key. Any one with info on how theses work in relation to new keys.

From what i gather, Erase key you have and program back in with a second key that does not have remote head. Use non remote head key to access menu to reset MyCar in onboard menu. I have not tried this yet myself, I have one I will have to deal with this next week, I think.
