can you help me with a problem.
Touareg 2007, 3.0tdi
I bought from VW little plastic key.
I have the PIN code. 2 times adapted 2 old keys and the new key with VCDS and the problem is - NO starter.
With other keys starter work, with the new key - no.
It Is adapted - no immo message, steering unlocked, lights are comming on, I can connect with all modules with vcds, no error in engine and kessy.
It has no keyless.

Do you have an idea for the reason?

Thank you

The key is from dealer. I thought it is prepared.
And kessy accepts the key and registers it. Only starter is not enabled.

If it was a blank key kessy do not accept it. I have tried this too. I can see the difference.

its not prepare dear:chuncky:If the key is not prepared it will never be able to adopt it and get ignition on,

The problem is most likely you are not turning ignition all way to crank position, with plastic key this is very difficult as plastic key is bent very easy , so you think you have all way ignition but it is not.

Plastic key is just for emergency situation key to unlock car .

I am sure it turns enough.
Something else - with working key when I switch ingnition on (1 time with key to the right) there is a text on display ""depress clutch to start" or something like that and when turn second time the starter is starting cranking, if I the clutch pedal is pressed.
With the problematic key this text is missing. I think the kessy knows this key is not allowed to start.

But why? everything seem OK with the key.

In the VVDI2 manual I read that on touareg it is possible new key not to start the engine after adaptation. You have leave it with ignition on for several minutes and after that it is working fine.
I didn't do this after adaptation. I've done it on the next day, because I was scanning with vcds, but it is not enabling starter.

Do someone have heard something like that?
Is it needed to do this immediately after adaptation?

Hello.
yes you must leave it the ignition on about 20 minute or more and after you can ignition off and on back and start the car.this happen with me also some times even its remote control or (transporter plastic key). just leave ignition on up 20 minute and after all will OK.

Can I do this several days after adaptation or it must be immediately after?

The key fine now.

That was the problem - obviously I was keeping very short time the ignition on with the new key. I my case it 1-2 minutes were enough.

For the old key it is not needed, only new key needs more time.
There is something else - I put a charger during the last successful procedure. It is possible voltage under 12v be a obstacle to adapt new key. In the instructions is written to be over 12v.
