SAAB 9-3 add firginised key failed

Hi All.

If someone can help and explain what is wrong.

Car is Saab 9-3 2008
I would like to reuse key from different car.
So buy new PCF7946 and soldered it - seller say that it is already preceded to SAAB.
But when adding it via Tech2 if failed, Tech2 says that this is "NEW (never added).

So I managed to obtain zed-bull mini clone. Can read all pages on Hitag2 tab on EFfi, but hardware and software says that transponder is locked.

So buy, new PCF7946 (clean one), zeb-bull mini also says that this is locked, I've try to precode it via zed-bull, but also locked. After precoding only remote pages has changed. Still can not add it via Tech2.

Appreciate all suggestions.

Hi,
I can add that 1 per 20 times when read the chip it show as: "mode: cipher + manchester"
So what is wrong? All chips bad, or a bad tool?

I can only add that after failed add of virgin key, page 3(TMCF) has changed (first part from 06 to 0E) and remote is not active.
I can change it back then, but still no luck.

Is this precoding i've provided correct?

OK, no problem. I know that day have only 24 hours.
I was only thinking that it was very easy questions to someone with working experience.
I do not really won't one time help, but rather understand how it works.

I can tell you from experience that those "virgin" or "new" Chinese transponder chips do not work, sometimes 8 out of 10. Best option is ORIGINAL new key. Then never a problem and remote will work too.

So, does anybody manage to make a new kay and was able to add it via Tech2? If yes, than can share his experience?

So, finaly I added my key via tech2. Not sure what exactly couse was the problem. Tech2 card was wrong, there was an error when writing soft to the card. Second card was used. I've also change a bit precode. Have to try with next one to be 100% sure:).

My intention for sure was not to ask for any thanks just only to send a pass.
If some try it and decide to thanks, then it is his own decision.
I see here it is a common policy to put files with password.
