hi ive got a problem with my mothers speedo on her picasso year 2000,everything else on the cluster is fine apart from the speedo, which is just visible to the human eye{showing but very faint} so can assume from this it isnt something simple like a fuse, ive no idea how the lcd cluster is lit{bulb or diode?} could it be that this part of the lcd display has just died? and if so how easy or difficult is it to replace the complete cluster, and any info on how to do this procedure would be gratefully appreciated.
regards moi.

if a bulb dosen't cure it it will be another fault, french cars always seem to have two faults.
we had a 205 challenge in once, 3 faults, challenge was to get it started.

as smirnoff says bulbs 286 bulbs about 6 of them replace them all while dash out . to remove dash gently pry cover towards seats , two screws one on either side of display unit. in middle at bottom theres a clip which you push down. 2 plugs one blue, one black, remove unit then you will see the bulbs. bulbs just turn to remove from unit anti clockwise i think, then the 286 bulbs will pull out of holder, replace refit enjoy.
