hi i am new to all this and am wondering what is the difference between the dream box's and the other boxes like starview and eurovox thanks callam

A dreambox can do a lot more than the eurovox and starview boxes.. For a start you can attach it to your network and stream video around you house or over the internet. You can record your programs to a PC or NAS and playback from those locations as well... If you have a genuine dreambox you can swap out the tuner and change it to a satellite receiver... Mine is connected by wifi to my network as is my xbox... I can stream recordings over my wifi and play them on another big TV where my xbox is connected...

Some boxes will be HD and some are SD... some will allow you to pause live TV (if you install a hard disk in the box) there are a variety of images available and loads of support (same starview, eurovox, kryptview and dbox).. they can cost more however depending on the model...

how come dreamboxes are cheaper then any other box if they can do a lot more

they arnt too cheap m8 they a pretty expensive tbh the cheap ones are imitations made in china
