NHW20 can be reset using techstream.
Set the region in techstream to North America, then perform smart ecu reset. You will need to get the seed code calculated. I have done many of the NHW20 this way.

im new here. Have recently gotten into key programming business but i mainly use OBD tools. Still a newbie but hae many tools such as tango, mk3, skp and obdstar x300. We have many japanese imports and prius nhw20 is many of the cars we have. Can this file help program sks fob for japanese nhw20 model incase of lost key situation? Im learning to do eeprom programmin now. Immobilizer reset ok and can start car but cannot use smart key function or lock/unlock. And if this dump can work on smart key exu, how to program new/used key? Can be done with ‘chicken dance’ methid or anything particular in techstream? Do not see any function to program prox for nhw20 in skp or is there?

Hello, new to the group. I’ve had the very same problem on a 2008 Prius was able to program one new key only, using my x100 pad. Figured I’d reached the limit on immo eeprom as second key wouldn’t program using all keys lost. And found it strange that the one I did program would do all but prox start, key in slot only to start ! Then research lead me to this post and found that I’m not alone. Anyway broke down and removed entire dash to get at “smart key” box and immo chip, a S2943. Contacted support att xtool to see what their take might be an they were nothing but clueless. I sent pictures of chip in eeprom reader with narrative clearly explaining what had transpired and their response was a joke. Then finally sent enough pics to piss them off and I think that did it the girl said engineers determined that this chip not supported my response was well no kidding so now what ?
still awaiting an answer ha I won’t hold my breath. I did order a new 93c76 though and was wondering how that may or may not affect the ecu I hate to have to replace that or even mess with it’s eeprom I’m still reeling from this S2943. And I was wondering if I can use the bin Brayn posted and get away with a virgin set up ? Just immo only ? Hoping someone has been there done that

i have been working on this prius with this chipset in it for weeks i finally have the hex editor figured out but have no virgin file for this thing it is an S2943 in the immobilizer unit in the thread you say write this file to smart ecu, but the immobilizer if the only thing with this eeprom in it. can i please get the file password so i can compare it to mine thanks very much fishnpilot.

My question is, using this file, should I be able to register new and used fobs/keys?

The vehicle is a 2005 Toyota Pries with SKS, Smart Key ECU 89990-47020.

Hello, I uploaded the file to the eeprom memory, put the smart ECU back into the car and using the open close door procedure, I was able to add a used key, the proximity function works outside but inside the key must be inserted into the socket otherwise the car will not start, which may be ? No synchronization with the immobilizer?

EDIT:In Obdstar I entered Toyota Crown 12 and there is a synchronization option, I clicked and the keyless function started to work fully
