Just wondering if there is an app or a way to stream M3U from a dreambox and if it works well if there is one.

Okay I've tested that addon but it just keeps on crashing ( green screen ) when it tries to load the channels unfortunately.

Have you used it before yourself, If so did you manage to get it to work ?

Enigma-TV software is a PC Windows software that gets your video from a box and resize it for use over internet/mobile, check on enigma-tv.com

You can convert a M3U to dreambox format or with most IPTV providers, get a proper Enigma formatted userbouquet that should play natively.

I've just tried to use Esetting+ which is meant to allow m3u to be added to Enigma2 but when I loaded the channels back to my dreambox the folder I created was empty.

I'm using Enigma Nemisis skin and have no idea if it's a formatted user bouquet that plays natively

Image must be compatible with IPTV... yours seems to not be supporting IPTV,

I got round to flashing my DM today with an image that works with IPTV, it seems all good so far I just need to see if I can get EPG and if I can also timeshift/record channels.

If you open your bouquet file in a Linux friendly text editor then you should see all service references beginning 4097:0:1:0 or 1:0:1:0, if they begin 4097:0, then try changing to 1:0 (most will work, some won't) this will make the box treat them as DVB rather than IPTV, so recording is more likely to work. If you also change the reference to the full UK Satellite reference, then you may also get EPG.

For example, if you have

#SERVICE 4097:0:1:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:http%3A//host%3Aport/live/username/password/80.ts
#DESCRIPTION BBC1 HD UK

Change to

#SERVICE 1:0:19:1B31:802:2:11A0000:0:0:0:http%3A//host%3Aport/live/username/password/80.ts
#DESCRIPTION BBC1 HD UK

Then you will get the EPG for BBC1 HD if it's available in your EPG cache.

You do need to be very careful that you don't change the formatting or it may not work at all.

Much appreciated for that lincsat will give that a got once I get the IPTV working again..

The image froze on boot screen when I restarted the box so I had to reflash the DM and add the M3U again, now I can see the channels but nothing happens when I click on the listings. Not sure if i've forgotten to do something but i'm sure i didn't have to do anything particular when I got it to work the first time.

Ive checked just my services reference and they start like this: #EXTINF:-1 tvg-ID="3e.rte.ie.

Can this still be altered to allow me to receive EPG & possibly record?

That looks like a M3U file rather than a E2 userbouquet. A userbouquet has lines that look like this

#SERVICE 1:0:19:1B31:802:2:11A0000:0:0:0:http%3A//portal.link%3A8080/live/username/password/3580.ts
#DESCRIPTION BBC1 UK

See how I've changed the service ref to match BBC1 HD

Yes it is m3u for playing IPTV. I can get it to work on the DM even though as long as I don't restart my box otherwise it freezes resulting in having to flash again. But yeah it was for the m3u that I was looking to see if I could add EPG and recording on the DM.

Then try converting to a userbouquet or get a file in Enigma2 or Dreambox format instead and try that.
