Hello, I was trying to add a key in this module, but after the job was done, nothing is working. I think the data got corrupted while reading with GQ-4x4. I also had issues writing back to the flash after adding key. Can somebody check if it looks ok.

Does anybody have a flash from same pn: 8645171

Dump is not read correctly. By the car the passing light is on and there is not more that does not work. On the dashboard is lit only the check itself the installation does not work. Read the ECM and give a complete package view the climate is needed will be all information.

Ok, I wrote the CEM dump to a different chip, I had issues writing on original chip.
I also wrote the new dump to ECM.

The car is 50 miles away so we will test it soon and report,

Update,
Tested on car, Only check engine light lights up, everything else is not turning on.
I think the CEM dump is not good.
Does anybody have a good dump from the same pn?

Did you try writing back the original dump read back into flash in other to verify if the data was corrupt while you are trying to add key?

Since you said only the check engine light came up after writing the new key generated dump back, then I mean why didn't you write back the unedited (original) dump into the flash and see if the lights come up. In that regards, we will know if the new dump is corrupt.

The original dump does not have a registered key so i think it will do the same. Am i wrong?

No, that's not true. If the dump is intact all the light will come up, irrespective of a registered key or not

Ok i will test in the morning. Im pretty sure its bad as i was getting different readings at first and then i had problems writing back. It took me over 100 tries to write back successfully.

If i replaced a flash chip from a different CEM with different chip, will it still work? Original chip was intel tp28f400b replaced with mt28f400b .

Hello, Tested the dump original and modified, I do not have communication with CEM and no lights come up on dash.
I have a used CEM from a different volvo XC70 and i connected it and i get communication. So it is for sure that my dump is bad in this CEM.

Anybody can share any good solution for this?

What you can do now is to read the donor flash and make a key from it and write the data back to your corrupt cem and let's see if the dash light will come up, if it does come up then the donor data will be synced with your engine ECU.

Hi, I have 2 programmers, GQ-4x4 and VVDI prog.
I have done 2 s80s before with GQ-4x4 without any problems. 1999 and 2003 S80.
This time, GQ-4x4 missed a spot in flash so now Im having these issues.
