r4ds problem

my youngest daughters r4ds card is not loading when inserted into her ds but original games are,yet the r4ds card is ok when inserted into my oldest daughters ds,is this just an unfortunate matter?

is it a dsi the new one , if so she has updates to 1.4 and u will need a r4di to work in there now
