Hello
I have an ECU Edc17cp45 from BMW to make and I need to know the measures in which I have to drill the ECU.
I have to do 2 guajeros, one for boot and one for the GPT cables but I do not know the distance that I have to do.

Does anyone have that info?

Thank you

What about metal particles that you can't get out when they drop inside

there is no particles inside.is not drilled to the end.....is drilled untill you can force piece to broke....in this way you can put it back with seal after read write.
if is not ok like this you can buy special tool from magic motorsport :) is only 260 usd :)

Exactly... do not need to drill to the end.

surely not as in Photo mate, looks like masonry Drill bit that one,
I was told Engineering Flat drill also, and can see the logik of drilling untill able to press out the disc,
think i would try if had correct Drill for job, makes it harder as ribs in the case so need a jig to hold Ecu and Drill (pillar drill and clamp would work)

no its listed for metal , l have a piller drill . my idea is that if l drill till its just about to go though and then stop and use the bit in the middle that isnt drilled l can leaver that out and not bits will go in ecu

just the same as the video that was posting while l was writing this lol

But don't this use a pilot drill that sits in the centre to keep it central of which the pilot drill will protrude 5mm+ at least?

can use without it says , with ecu locking in place and cut fin off , its only alloy after all , l will do it close to the bin so l can throw it all in there if it dosnt work
