If there was a significant upgrade to, say n3, what would be the impact of that on Dream Multimedia and the makers of the Eurovox etc?

dreambox would be ok as they sell far more sat boxes than cable and the majorty of cable boxes are clone dm500s so it may be the men from china who have most to lose.Which is big money for the maker who may put there money into cracking N3 with a bit of luck.As for eurovox, starview ect well i would not buy shares in them

Yeah, must be a worrying times for Dream box.... All of a sudden a large part of their market could vanish!

Wonder if there is anything they could do to help get things back to how they were?

If i had a Eurovox i'd def sell it asp!

if you have an original dream box on cable you change swap the tuners with a satilite tuner cos they plug and play type

Tks for that -- didn't know u could change the tuners.

If things do go bad (and i've been hearing it's coming soon since i joined the forum years ago!) then getting a dish is a good option (along with cs).
