View Full Version : TVA ,WHY is it used in Diesel engines?

Hi
may some one kindly explain the usage of TVA in modern Diesel engines,since its logical in naturally aspirated,but Diesel don't need it,?, I think,.

1. For AFR formation (when EGR system is active).
2. For forced idling, when the car is driving, with released accelerator pedal.
3. For forced engine shut off... when the turbo blows, for example...
Is this enough?

Great,now what are the side effects of deleting TVA,THAT SOME TUNERS OFFER?

it have also an "anti shudder" effect when engine shut down

Thats the only reason i like this engine part
