Hi,
How can i reprogram Eprom 24C02 with software?
I've made dump with Immokiller, but when i want to write immo-off file in engine, it doesn't work.
I have errors message.
I have VW Golf 3 with Bosch Motronic MP9, 24C02 Eeprom and 87C510 Eprom.

I don't find that Ecu in Immokiller.

So, which software can i use to write immo-off file in Eprom?
Immo Tool, etc?

Thank you

Thank you.
I have already immo-off file.
But, i can't write it to Ecu.
I used Immo killer but not work with my Ecu.
I don't know about all software.
I want to know just two things.
Which software can i use as i'll be sure it'll work for my Ecu?
Do i have to unplug the immobox to make it work, and how to unplug?

hi buddy

you need to have serial eeprom programmer

uupa, tl866, orange, ect

remove the chip from the board, use programmer to write the chip, refit chip to the board

I made dump file with Immokiller.
Then, i asked here someone to make me immo-off file and i thank him.
But now, i wanted to write it to Ecu with immokiller too, but not work.
There's not my Ecu in Immokiller listing.
So, i have errors message.

Lets Try again, how / where did you get the file that you used Immokiler to demobilize ?

Thnak you.
Well, i used Immokiller to make dump of Eprom.
Then, i made a post in that forum to ask somebody for immo-off with my dump file.
A member made it and post it in reply.

After that, i tried to write that immo-off file with Immokiller. But, there's not my Ecu in VW part.
So, the operation return an errors message.

I turned on the car like usual, and worked.
But, as usual, the car turned off after 1 second, cause of Immobilizer.

So, i wonder if i did all well, and if i have to unplug Immobilizer and its antenna from Ecu and ignition.

Thank you.
I don't have programmer.
I can't write with sofware?

Hi, you must open ecu and look for small bug with eight leg 24c02, desolder from board, read from chip, post data here and someone change data in file for you. You write data in small bug and solder back in ecu. Then put in car and try start. If ewerithink is ok car work with no immo. Understand?

Welkome in DK

You need a programer or someone who have it :) and good solderstation too :D

Hi, everybody!
Thank you all for your help.
I use a Vag-com cable with Vcds software to communicate with Ecu, and Eeprom.
I can so read the chip and dump the file.
But, then, i can't write it to Eeprom cause i don't find my Ecu in the software i used to dump Eeprom file (Immokiller).

I join the two files : original and immo-off file

P.S. : I will try again with another software and will retrun here.

Hi, the original file it's empty. It's not good read.
You must read with programer. If you don't have search in google ponyprog.

you must read B58258 ,this is a mask of 24C02 EEPROM (here is immo ) the bigger one is EEPROM 85C510 (mask 58400) there ist other data (maps for chiptuning, etc)

Thank you.
I know about it when i opened Ecu and made researchs.
Eeprom B58258 24C02
Eprom B58400 TI 87C510 DIL 28.

The problem is that i can't read and write correctly.
I have PonyProg, but i'm not sure how to use.
There's a chips list, and i don't know what is mine.
I think it's "I2C Bus 8bit eeprom", but when i try to read device, i have error message that "device busy or hardware error", something like that.

Ok, pony prog is simple prog, you have purchased or make your ovn? You try to read on board? (in cicruit?) or you have desolder from pcb? Try search from google for datasheet for 24C04 and look for gnd and +5 volts (or3.3volts) When you try to read must on chip detect voltage.

Very important is good setting on pony prog too, com port, etc power :) .... Its your first job? When yes, you might be BIG HAPPY when car start:marchmellow:

Dont try to write, if you havent ori back up from chip.

Be cool, every car is diferrent, so its neverending learning story :)

You must make a simple circuit. Desolder the eprom end after read/write.

I read about usb or serial programmer, thank of you.
It's my first time.
But, i've got no such programmer devices, like Upa usb, Willem, Orange, etc.

I have only softwares like Immokiller, Immo decoder, Otocheck, PonyProg, Vag-com, Mpp,...
I use odb2 cable to communicate with Ecu, using my computer.

I apologise men, i have to complete explanation about my problem.

I'd like to make immo off, to turn on my car and drive it.
I had to change ignition cause i have lost the only key i've had.
Reprogramming my new transponder key would cost me much at VW.
Car is too old to spend too much money for solve.

So, i searched a lot about solutions online.
That's why i found that forum.
It's well organised, with lot of information, participation, sharing,...

I read about desolder chip, read it with programmer, etc.
I've never made such things on Ecu, and don't have such material.

That's why i searched about software solutions to read and write my Bosch Motronic MP9 Ecu.
That's all.

I just wish help in solving the problem.
And I thank you for telling me the most appropriate solution to my situation.
I've already had to change all the locks. And, therefore, I can not continue spending for an old car.
