i tested a little Cn kess 5.017 v2.22/3 since 2 weeks...no bad surprise..

edc15/16/17 basics work fine.. Kline an Can ok

lot of denso ok ,tested today on 2016 navarra 2.5L 144hp (7059) all fine..

will test toyota,marelli and .... soon.

Mu personal experience is a bad experience with Ktag 2.23 , ther's a bug with Ecu Fiat/Jeep edc17c69 TC 1793 T PROT FAL ; i THINK DON'T CORRECT CHECKSUM IN A RIGHT MODE and car also with ori back up file don 't start .

Any suggestion ?

no reset button but method to reset with software,not tested yet.

Interesting how it works with tokens reset cause earlier versions really difficult process and doesnt works many times to me

just check and i made mistake i think russian firmware..ksuite Sw reset token when open, same as all kess 5.017 or new ktag 7.020/26 Fw

Now i wanna read a DAF Truck XF 106. I need a protocol 483 and this is available on this kess v5017 but i can't find the truck under the vehicles.
So how can i read this truck now?
And what does 'protocol' mean?

I have a Kess v2 5.017 running ksuite 2.47 my issue is I’ve mapped a few cars with no problems but I’ve been trying to do a friends old combo van with a delco 1700dti Euro3 ecu it will allow me to read it fine and asks me to save the file but once I save it checksum error pops up and when you click ok it says unrecoverable error program must restart
many ideas anyone

Read Ecu again. It will start . Aslong as you didn’t write and only read. Slow speed down read again

i do 3 of this ecu (one med 17.5.21 and two med 17.5.25) but as first i did boot backup with ktag...writing via obd 10 min with 2.47

My clone 5.017 2.47 I'd write only on cars I've tested without problems its from aliexpress seller best one. Was on v2.23 but up dated to v2.47 from seller.

Have tried successfully Kess 5.017 v2.47 clone on Audi Q3 with VR file thruogh OBD and flashed correctly. ECU Bosch EDC17CP46

Doesn't works on Transtron ECU on Isuzu D-MAx, maybe due to incorrect checksum calculation

I have KESS red PCB and at the beginning 2.23 it worked very well for OBD2, until I upgrade to version 2.47 and for OBD2 it is a fiasco, the reading comes out very badly, the only way to be testing is, to be loading the DLLs until you take a reading decent.

Kess clone red pcb. Programmed and tuned successful : land rover td5, LR Jag 4.2 supercharged (denso), Ford LR tdv6 sid203 , Ford LR Tdv8 sid 204, mazda sp23 jdm turbo. Have also read and modifed , cloned and virgined all these ecus also using clone k-tag. How ever Kia Sorento 2.5 crdi kess will not read at all.
