DDT 2000 Problems

Hello ,

I just got a DDT2000 interface+software and instructions, but i have a problem because the DDT will connect to the computer and i can install it as the instructions say to using the drivers delivered with the software. Every thing should work but it dosen`t because i can`t connect to the ECU.

I select the com interface correctly in the DDT software , but the interface will not connect to the ecu (the yellow square from the taskbar remains in Not Connected state).

In Configuration menu the Nr 2 Option is this:




IMPORTANT

go to vehicles from main screen then select you car and ecu it will then connect if you have selected correct ecu

I tried another interface , and another version of DDT2000. Still no success.

I don`t know what to do....

Install the required software for the DDT.
Install the DDT.
Replace the database.
Replace the cracked DLL.
Install the interface with the supplied drivers.
Select the Com from the device manager back in to the DDT.
Run DDT using Internet explorer >select the ECU but no communication can be established.

Any ideas where i go wrong?

ddt 2000 works best on the imitation tech2 interface that they sell everywhere for around 45 euros it has 2 be a multiplexe interfac otherwise only some units cant be found ..so all the pins have to be used.. old op com interface works great and remenber dont select a car but take all projects,,, renault build his cars with a lott of strange controllers inside:itsme:

Did you try to use DDT with op-com multiplexed interface?

I'm using it with vag-com 409.1 interface, like the one in igopippox' link, and it seems to be working well.
Taking "all projects" can help sometimes, but I thought it's because of old database and description files, and not multiplexed pins.
I'll be glad if I'm wrong :)

Just to add my two pence into this thread rather than starting yet another, I use DDT2000 with a VagCom Kline interface available from loads of places inc Ebay for very little cost.
What I am having issues with though is how to view live data through the software. There is obviously something I'm not seeing but I've clicked on every tab there is and still cannot find it.
Anybody help - or can someone post a user guide/manual.

We were talking a lot about using vag-com 409 KKL interface with DDT2000.
Can anyone confirm that this kind of interface recognizes any module which needs both K&L line to work (ISO8 protocol, for example)?

I suspect my interface don't work 100% OK, because I connected Scenic 2002y and Clio 2000y and DDT sees no ECU's at all. Furtehrmore, on my Clio2 it can't recognize ABS module, and car is equipped with ABS...

I have ddt2000 on xp and i Have derelek cable, i install it with drivers on ddt2000, but when i try to read ecu failures i have a blue screen. I think the drivers on ddt2000 not work not signed en bug. Can anybody tell me how drivers must be installed en where can i found it ? thanks

Hi,

i was have installed DDT 2090, it was working fine.
After installing newer version DDT 2301 i have problem with program, main program dont work everything is blank ( see pictures )

LIGHT version is operational - working OK.
Vbrun60sp5 and msxml3 was installed, antivirus program disabled, popup blocker deactivated, activex controle all enabled.
Thas enyone have same problem and have too fix it.

Uninstall and reinstall the program, doesn't matter wich version and be sure you have database in right place.

No one has that, everybody is searching. Really. Buy a Derelek ( expensive ! ) and draw the schematics, but what about the bin contained in that processor or whatever memory has that Derelek inside ?

Need VB, activeX, .NET and the db to stay where it must be found by the main program. Countless have the same problem.
Finally you will solve it.

Can anyone please tell me how to erase error codes. I have check ignition, error can be read, but I can not erase it - I got an answer that ecu is in protection mode or something like that.

ECU is in protection mode when engine is running. You can erase failures only with engine stopped... and ignition on of course.

It hase 171 mb and mine has 396 mb (year 2008).
I think your is a littel bit old.

Chinese cloenes are preatty cheaper than Derelek.
Ok CanClip dosen't work with Can Clip tool.

claub, I think that db isn`t newer, there are some new files ( xml ) made by the guy who posted that movie. Look he typed his name there too...
You can also make some xml`s and put them in the db and tell is a new db. In that movie do you see somewhere the name of the db ? No ? It is written on the bottom of the page but of course, by mistake, ( ! ) it was cut.
And a man who has such a " newer " db work with ddt2000 ver 2.0.9.0, not as everybody else with 2.3.0.1 ? This stinks !

It needs an access code for clearing crash counter, can anyone find it ? I think is encoded in the prom, they couldn`t be so silly to write there in clear the access code. But anyway it`s worth trying to read that prom to see what`s inside.

Look the movie on post #56. You`ll get an idea on how it works ddt. It`s a good start. Maybe you can find also other movies on youtube, search " working ddt ". For me, it doesn`t seem so complicated this ddt software, it is very intuitive, but you must know french.

I have the same problem as you do and I think is something linked to laptop`s CPU. The solution I found is to connect the interface to the laptop (but not to the car), start the software, select the car and then hit "select all functions and search" button. After the searching finished, you connect the interface to the car and do the same thing. Works for me.

The order you connect lappy-interface-car has no relevance,
I say to you it must work anyway you connect them.

I was talking about derelek interface, not kkl.

Is not the order that makes the difference, but the thing that first you put the software to search for ecus without being connected to the car and only after you plug the interface into OBD port.

The screendump was not intended to show any ecu. I used it to highlight the "select all functions and search" button. (red rectangle)

Nobody told about such user guide for ddt2000 ! All we know it`s learnt by experimental work, patience and so on. :pcguru:
