by the way whats the latest firmware(software) version for the starview the box 1, cuz my epg is really slow, everthing else now fine. what latest features with the new one does it store chanles into real catetorgories

check top this page for latest f/w^ ,epg always been shite on these early box's, box super to the latest and kryptview are lot better

I have a sv1 and yes the epg has always been a write off. Also I think the latest firmware (cryptstar 1.5 core400.bin) has just become defunkt. I have done a factory setting which normally works, does anyone know if there is going to be a new version??

no box is too old,you have factory reset,auto scanned without
splitters,set default key and emu to on and exit out.

dont forget to type 1570 when u press menu then turn emu on
