Hi,

I read my Marelli 4MV ECU 036906034BH and disabled DTC P0401 and P0402 for blanked EGR (with MTX DTC remover 1.8.5.0)

I'm not sure how to recalculate checksum now, I tried ultimo checksum corrector... but I'm not sure does it fully support 4MV ECU.

I attached all 3 files, in case someone can check it. Thanks!

Thanks for fast answers!

@shooting (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/member.php/127803-shooting) attached files is full of zeroes when opened in hex editor, seems that data is lost somewhere.

@QwoleQ (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/member.php/485438-QwoleQ) you probably didn't click on upload button (that happened to me too, button is far on the right - you have to do horizontal scroll to see it)

I'm getting "P0605 Rom Error" when I write checksum corrected file with Kess v2 and thus I can't start the car.

Kess ask for new file and original (so maybe it makes some mistake in checksum)?
But it's strange that I can flash original back and in step for asking original I select modified file (the last i flashed) and car runs...

I wonder now should I select same file in both steps to avoid kess recalculating checksum? (maybe it's wrong because I have to select 1.4 engine instead 1.6... they listed marelli protocol only for 1.4 16v)

I disabled only DTC P0401 and recalculated checksum with WinOLS, so now I'm not having ROM error anymore... but I got immo error P1570.

I wonder is there some special procedure to adapt new rom with immo on this Marelli 4MV ecu? Car works without issue when I write back original file.

I tried to flash some stage 1 map for this ecu and tuned file worked, so it was always error with modified file.
Does someone know solution for turning erg off on this marelli 4mv 036906034BH?

Attached file is here in first post: https://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/showthread.php/614767-Golf-IV-1-6-16V-Marelli-4MV-EGR-Off-and-checksum-correction?p=3097133&viewfull=1#post3097133
