Hello there I explain
I have a polo 6R 1.2 tdi 2012
She no longer wanted to start because one fine morning the meter was switched off
After troubleshooting the car in the garage
Teste fuse ok
I unplug the meter then the reconnect it lights but starts and then goes out
Since meter s alume
Diag vcds no communication with instrument 17
Inside a big black spot the green plate to grill
Even with avdi original not commucation

The counter is a vdo nec + 24c64

I buy a new counter on ebay
The same reference
Sw
hw

Now comes adatation becomes complicated
I know the 24c64 is encrypted with its flash nec

With old cluster no commucation
With the new there is of commucation and active anti-marking

Here is what I do

Swaper the 24c64 does not work
Set the new counter to service mode by dump
With avdi i can read all info
cs
pin
mac
Of the new meter
I can edit
My configuration was comropu at the start I rewrite the original dump all this put back correctly

I try to describe my 24c64 of the original counter hs
In service mode
The data is encrypted and incorect
Normal because it works with its flash nec

So I find myself blocking for adaptation

What solution is offered to me

Recovers the original pine and cs and mac with ecu engine
It is a dcm 3.7
Complicate I think

Try to read nec with smok
I look at the number of the chip it is well supported
But I'm not the shema to read it
Is it possible to read and write this chip
Clone the nec and epprom will it work?

Is there any other way?

THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP

Try resolder big resistors on old dashboard or votage regulator TLE****

Try to repair it :) i think dont read = not power in dashboard

Here on octavia, i think its a same

Only way to get original data is to swap NEC MCU and eeprom form old and see what will happen,If processor not damage cluster will work and no need adopt anything.

Other way is to read 6 byte CS, MAC , Pin and Power class form ECU , write in new cluster and adopt new transponder chip. Old chip will not work as it has 12 byte CS.

Hello
Thank you for your help
I tried to change resistance and transistor
still no communication with the dash 17

I would try to read the nec but I am not from shema to read
have schema to read
thank you

Yugo45 is whrite. But if you have working key you must try to find 7-th byt of CS and when you enter dash in service mode by eeprom dump to enter it in dash. The key must be new but you dont need to sync with ecu.

And you can do this in 1 procedure: When you enter service mode you can to whrite full immo data(cs, pin, power class), make new transponder key and add to immo data.

Good evening
yes I can edit the data immo
cs
pine
mac
by setting to dump service mode
the worry is that I am not these data
it are in ecu engine dcm3.7
and I do not know what to read

as I said I tried to write the data of the original 24c64 cluster hs
in service mode
during the service mode of the new cluster
the data remains encrypted

so the solution I have left
is to try to read and write the nec
but I'm looking for a schema to plug in
I found that of golf 6
it is the same chip but not the same circuit

This dash in key store 12 byte CS. No way to extract it.

You can not read this NEC , it is secure and there is no tool on market that will be able to read it.
I gave you solution above in post #4.
