hi I d just buy a programmer SmartPro x8 but in the device list I can not find the eeprom 5P08C3 (95p08) is that I can use another eeprom to reprogram it.

UPA prog with LPT port 95P080 or Orange 3.9 with 25c080.Try this.

Hi Friend.You make try this on any others programer low cost range like;Willem,UPA,Orange.Upa with LPT port working 95080 SPI chips but anyway try with Orange 3.9 and 25c080 to read content eeprom and verify.

just to help others too ...
i was having probs with this chip, i was trying to use a willem programmer

i used 25c040, setting to read/write
i also think that the M95040 will work too
(you can read using 25c080/M95080 too )
