Ktag checksum error

Hi all reading edc17cp20 vw transporter ecu always getting checksum error Try read with kess v2 4.036 in boot mode {checksum error } Try new ktag clone 7.020 same new kess clone 5.017 same ??? Car was remaped before just need dpf off but cant read a file PLEASE HELP ME !!!!!!!!

U have installed c++ 2005;2008;2010 and net framework?

When read and got all c++ try even another laptop and same

Try to install an older version of ksuite first.

This will be ok whit new ktag 7.020?

First install 2.08...for example...and then install the new version over it.
It is not needed to start the older software.

I tryd on kess 4.036 and when read whit boot mode get same ck error Bckup reads fine just map file

Hy guys , i have tried to read yesterday an Audi 3.0 tdi already tuned ecu with my kess 5.017 , read till 99 % then pop up checksum error and no new window to save this file , I have installed c++ 2005 and framework , k suite 2.23 , any help will be appreciated!

by the way, there is some way to extract Flash+eeprom from a backup file ?

by the way, there is some way to extract Flash+eeprom from a backup file ?I don't know , but when you make backup read and all is finish, ktag ask if you want to save file separately, then you have flash, eeprom separately!

It is posible to exctract all read files from the crypted backup file. Alientech can do it if you send the file to them or someone who has a special sw that is bounded to ktag for such extraction process...

the main problem is when someone modified the file in the ecu with a tool that uses a different checksum algo then alientech tools, it gives a checksum error cause the mathematics that alientech use does not match. But checksum is fine is it, the car runns :)

or a solution is to have Trasdata. Trashdata lets you keep the file in any case
