nah im gonna stay in the shallow end of the pool, im scared if i need to rewrite flash or something and then mcu becomes protected/secured and wont be able to do nothing. I'm only a year into this i know I act like I know a lot but heres a little secret.......I'm in over my head lol

Ok so did a read on the mcu using the bdm points which i checked points to mcu legs etc. I used a datasheet, anywat continuity and ohm 0.0 ohms so direct connection right?
Any way i didnt edit or anything and I didnt touch tach either now bike no start! Any ideas?
Other option is it possible to replace ecm if I have someone at Harley and set ECM mileage with Harley Digital Tech Tool than read eeprom on tach/speedo and edit?
Would that work?

That's the problem seeing more of a problem than anything, algo problems, mileage jumping back etc.
So only have 2 options can filter which xmod was supposed to find if he had some in stock or.
Maybe swap new ECU and program to 0 or desired mileage with Harley Tech Diagnostic Tool which customer has freind in Harley and customer wants to go that route. Thinking if 0 on ecm then program speedo clock to desired mileage or if ecm programmable Mileage than program speed/clock to 0 miles and pull mileage from ecm once connect. but I have no idea if it will work for sure.
This is just a theory with my poor experience.
Does anyone have an idea if it is a possibility?

CAN filter won't help if the ECU is dead and it won't start, which also eliminates a third option....
Walk away from it, not your problem it has too many Miles.
Good luck with it, but now you are going to need a dealer regardless.

That's what I'm feeling, plus this customer always keeps wanting to drive my prices down not feeling it.
