VW golf 5 - how add key

Hi

My customer has got one working valid key for this car (2005 year) and want to get second.
How can I add second to car? Do I need to read manually eeprom or eeprom+micronas from cluster or can I do it by obd? Is it enough to read (obd) sec blocks from dash (by xtool or xcan)?
I have got: vcds, xtool, xcan, and tango

just copy the key with a tool like handy baby
or if you dont have a code get a code from dealer and cut a key and program it with vcds

I have checked it - can not be done by Normal and standard procedure ross-tech with vcsd.

This is Golf 1K with immobilizer generation 4 on board

You need id48 tp23 can transponder
Find pin and cs,lock the transponder and learn key with vcds..

No CS needed in this year. Just tp23 CAN VW transponder and pin code or use SBB and add key without pin code.

Also tango will not be needed? Or can I use (read) valid key?
I have got pin code and I have tried with vcds with No luck

Till 06/2006 in Golf 5 no CS needed. About VCDS, some people say it does not work with Micronash dash. I don't know, don't have this tool. Try with other u have if u got pin code. Just ensure you have VW CAN TP23 transponder.

do not work with vcds Normal procedure key matching as has Been written on ross-tech side. There is not any immo data at extra field in 25 immo module in vcds.
Any other idea Or I have to Open dash and do it with dump by tango

For Golf 5 2005 you don't need CS.
You only need PIN code for IMMO and TP23 (ID48 CAN chip)
I get my PIN with FVDI, but there are many other tools reading PIN from ECU.

After that you can add key in regular procedure with VAG-COM (VCDS) or VCP or what ever. I use usually VCDS.
Use : (25) Immobilizer / (16) LOGIN-security code / (10) Adaptation
That should work without problems (tested on European cars).
