the hd recording is working brilliantly but i cant get the epg to go further than 12 hours is there a fix for this or is another firmware update required

what firmware have you. Mine works ok only tried upto a few days tho, Ill let you know how far I can go on epg. watch this space

well i just tried it and it went upto 8.00 o clock tomorow so I was wrong with a couple of days,,maybe you could try yours and see how far you get with bbc1,,

I must only do mine on a daily basis, but im not into weekly series,, looking around tho it seems you can do weekly series in some way or other, but for me, most things are repeated,, and im happy to take it as it comes along. The epg as you were saying ,,doesnt go a long way into the future, to be honest the pvr for what it does is a little belter. If only for 24 hour timeslip and timer.
