Very strange problem, instrument says Bad Chip
Model no 1983577C5/95 -EUR
From Case Tractor 4210 xl 1994 mod

Eeprom dump does not look like other dumps I have found here and tried with no luck.
So maybe bad written eeprom?

If I remove eeprom display shows 0

Anyone have virgin file for this model? or can help?

Update:
By soldering on a socket, I was able to insert the eeprom after power-up.

After some hours I checked the eeprom and the instrument have written 0101 to the eeprom.
The area with 00 00 seems to be area for hours.

Instrument now seems to respond. I can simulate speed.

Please help

I have one of these I am actually having trouble reading these in the programmer I have read two chips both the same I know at least one of the chip is ok with known hours on it
What settings on the programmer are you reading it under ( I have tried lots of different ones)?

It is a rotated Microchip type eeprom , u use Orange5 to read/write it , maybe you can move pins on your eeprom clip and read it this way , google image rotated eeprom and twill make more sense

Just in case you haven't figured it out, here is the pinout.
Solder wires on a socket, and place the wires on the correct location in your programmer.

See picture
93LC46X is the eeprom pinout (X at the end)
93LC46 is pinout for the programmer

I use Galep5 programmer, but any programmer can read this eeprom with rewiring of the pins.

This is a 16bit eeprom
