Hi!
I have receive Yamaha Fazer 600 manufacture year 2005 for mileage change. After lot of searching and trying I have found solution that works 1000000%.
In attachment are some pictures that will explaine how to.
You can use any eeprom reader to read this type of odo.
IN ODO IS 24C02 (tested)
When you connecting your eeprom adapter (wires) DO NOT connect wire number 8 (VCC) and it will write,verify and read OK.
Also I gave you pinout to power it on bench and check mileage after your job and two files with different mileage.
