you need pin code and you need silca sbb or some other tool to add new remote...

This is synchro for already programmed remote... And 0.1 second is enough for this, no need to push for 30 sec :D

And for programming new remote as said above, you need pin code. The same pin code which is for transponder programming. Although I think some models does not require pin for remote? Correct me if I'm wrong but not sure if Astra G or Corsa C/Meriva?

Astra G does not require pin for remote, but you must have same type of remote, its 3 type of remote for Astra G,OP- COM work fine ,just erase all remotes, then programing both.

There are also 2 type of remotes. One is with car having alarm and other without. Maybe you had wrong one. I don't know how to differ them when I stock only second hand remotes like that but I just take them all to the car and try.

Two types of system on the Astra G. With alarm and without check for sensors near interior light to check if it has alarm. If it doesn’t have an alarm then you need the Bosch remote, If it does then it’s Megamos remote.
If it doesn’t have factory alarm then no pin code is needed to program the remote, If it has factory fitted alarm then you need the pin code to program the remote. The code should be the same as the one for the immo.

You need PIN if car is equiped with factory alarm.

Pin for alarm, it is same as immo, however I have had a few that had a different code. If anyone has put a ecu set on it then they never change the remote unit, so it now has diffferent pin to immo .
