2007 range rover sports

hi all
been having problems with a 2007 ranger sports mileage change

does anyone know if the body module or anything else needs to be done in the car
apart from the m35080 chip in the cluster

been searching with not much info

Wat problem you have,km is only in eep 35080.

kms were 280 thou
I made it 180 thou
if I drive it 200 kms or any amount of kms or I tmight even be a time thing like after a day or a certain amount of key on and off
the kms reset back to 180 thou
it is not saving the kms after you drive it
and customer is getting upset

What about the trip odometer, is it resetting to zero as well? Try driving a short distance and without shutting off the car reset the trip odometer.

I always use new chip
ive tried 3 files
ok ill see if trip meter resets soon
my main issue is if I just need to do cluster and no bcm or all terrain module then if must be the files

the first file I got was from tachosoft
kms were correct but would nto save

I feel bad for starting 2 or 3 threads about this but ive tried afew differnet things and wasn't getting much replies

I have tried the tacxhosoft file and two others from that link

ive just tried Cllau's file this morning and have drivien it 5kms on and off and trip meter resets ok
ill have to leave it overnight to see if it odometer goes back 180 thou kms before I drove 5 kms today
I have taken photos before I drove it this morning so see what happens

If you want key to changed after drive 200km. you must set ews.

can I use any of them to do the ews

or do I have to use another tool to do the ews

the customer dropped car 1 month ago and I flashed new m35080 in cluster
all was good
3 days later he said kms wont save and going back to 180thou

is this normal if I do not flash the ews like u have to do on the bmws

sorry for all the questions but the only info when I search is you only have to flash the cluster

do I have to do anything with the keys

Use same programmer for read EWS mcu and put dump in DK.

problem is I could not get exact problem from customer
anyway I tried a new dump 2 days ago and after afew restarts and I let it sit over night
it still is going ok
I told customer to come take it and drive it for afew days and see

if it still plays up ill get it back and look at the ews

if you have change only the cluster then the problem is in the cluster dump.
but still you not anwser what happend if you put original dump back?

I tried afew files and yr one was one that worked
for some reason the other files I tried made the kms reset which was a problem not many have seen
