Starview 5 Do you need to put firmware on it ?

Hi,

i'am new to all this i have just bought a Starview 5 i wondering if i had to put firmware on so i can get like skysports and movies etc.

I could someone tell me what FTA is ?

the boxes normally come with only the FTA (free to air) firmware, if this is the case it will need reflashing
press menu on remote and using the remote buttons carefully enter 1570 making sure you are pointing remote at the box and if the secret screen doesn't pop up you only have the FTA firmware on the box
