CAS3++ ISTAP 9287535 dead after VVDI2 flash downgrade

Tried it on table with my test unit, and "Failed to update part1" What is the problem?

i dont understand,if you get message abourtdowngrade reflash dont do it. exit and read mcu with progger. take out cas and read it and make key i take max 15-20 min

cas can crash during downgrade with any tool, its perfectly normal

I not have open bmw in my vvdi, but hexen try in table,maybe rola1971 can confirm maybe upgrade must make in car not direct in cas to table?

I dont have backup...
On MINi r5x the cas location is a hell...

And now car is dead...

Can someone help me please?

Solved...

tried to write some flash dump i found on internet, keeping original eprom, but still dead... Won't answer on flash update...
But i think problem was from my programmer writing flash..

So, ended up just writing eeprom on a used CAS (not exact part number, but near)... Forced flash on the car with latest files, and it comes alive :)

If someone else is with same problem, can try same...

What is the benefit to do it OBD if you have to go thru all this?
If you have to remove CAS and do back up with programer , then it takes extra 2 min to make key with key tag tool.

It is Mini and CAS removal is 3h job..........

Definitely not for me... It was second time i had to remove dash on MINI and took much more than 3h to remove and install everything again...

its a solder one, but very easy, I juyst use my r260 clone & it never fails, seems safer to remove and read for me

What wil happen if i you put flash of other cas module in the broken cas op bdm? Wil it come to live? I have a costumer who has killed cas with updating car with ista P. I have some good cas modules.

All P-Flash with same part number (or sometimes even same part-number range) will be equal. Search in Flash for 00 00 09 and you will find all possible part numbers like this (apparently my example is only for 9389116):
