Marvellous, would you suggest connecting on k-line or canbus?

Green wire shows ignition?

Also my MPPS cable reads the ECU on k line but not fully, galletto v54 can't even show ECU data is it likely Galletto isn't working?

Unfortunately it didn't work on windows 7 so I had a spare laptop and put fresh copy of windows xp on, I've looked at the manuals, but strangely I have 2 green wires, one must be k line, I wonder which one

Also anybody else had an error on Galletto, error send wake

both green are K line (doubled wire). Error send wake up is connection problem...pinout in #2 post is correct...must read!! Did you connect +12V red wires on ignition pin, too?

I think that the best and safest way to read ECU-s is on the bdm frame, if you dont wont to spend a lot money on some professional BDM frame, you always have a chinese version its cheap, around 50e. And as Smirnoff rules sad, this ecu is safe to read by obd, edc16c9 is different story. Also it depends what is your work with ecu, do you need full bdm read or just partial. And you already have all the answers in previous posts.

Well my plan is to read the ECU (partial) and then send it to a tuner, EGR off, lambda sensors off, and stage 1 tune I haven't had time to try to read on ECU pins yet as I am moving house, do you think if I read the ECU via jtag successfully could I write the new file via OBD?

Thanks guys

Update: tried reading the ECU on jtag using canbus and k-line, neither worked and had the error "timeout" and also error setup, I'm pretty sure Galletto is not working, would not even give me ECU data on OBD port or jtag, my own fault I think i left the serial port adapter on once when it said to remove, is it possible to repair the device or shall I buy a new clone? Kess or ktag?
