Starview 4 Firmware Install Problem

Hi all,

I know the talk is currently with the starview 5 and starview hd, but I have just got a starview 4 super box.

I have downloaded 2 versions of 1.07 firware and following formatting my 16gb pen drive, attempted to install the firware onto the box.

The box can see the usb pen, can see the firware, and I can sellect it.

Having sellected it, the install just sits there at 0%, and never moves. The longest I have left it is 1hr and still at 0%.

I dont get any errors or anything like this, but all remote control function stops and the buttons on the front of the box dont respond... its like the box crashes but still displays the install screen...

Any one have any ideas and where I am going wrong with this????

Hi all,

I tested with another usb pen and was able to install 1.07 normally.

Think there might have been a compatability issue. My 16gb pen drive may have been too big or fast for the starview box. Its a corsair 16gb gt.

Back dated to a stabdard 1gb pen drive and this worked fine.

Hopw this post helps others who experience the same issue.
