Trying to program older ford computer with the metal box. Have the wiring right but cant figure out what ohm resisters to put across the can lines. Its not 120 and was told it was 355 but a 357 resister will not work. Anyone know what I might be doing wrong?

Thanks

normally the canbus is terminated with two 120 ohm resistors on both ends of the network.
Did u measure the resisance between the two can lines ? When you measure around 60 ohm the network is terminated ok (2x 120 ohm parallel) - in that case your tool should not have a 120 ohm termination resistor as well because that would make a termination of40 ohm instead of 60 ohm ( 3x 120 ohm parallel = 40 ohm)
So when the ecu can lines measure 120 ohm your tester should have a 120 ohm termination resistor as well.
