hi all I'm trying to figure out how to read the cas on a 2006 bmw 325i
plus also is it a cas2
ive tried with bmw tool but it says use cas plugs but the cas plugs with bmw tool are different to cas
as I think bmw is cas2 and bmw tool has cas 3 plugs
ive also tried with my digipro3 clone but I cant get a connection but I'm not sure if its my cable
can a clone digiprog 3 do the e90 cas thru obd2 and then I do the cluster manually
if not I also have the r270 cas programmer but I cant find what code the cas is so I can get the picture
any help is greatly appreciated
thanks

hi thanks for quick reply
I looked thru your pdf and the unit I removed looks the same as in the last page

hi i just pulled it apart and the cas2 is a 2k79x
so i ran the r270 software and i found the pic of how to wire that up
and it looks like abit of a fiddly job so i might wait for a long free day before i attempt to solder the wires from the r270 onto the board of the cas2
it has laquer on the board so ill have to get some solvent to clean it
is there any tool that will read cas without soldering onto the baord
i have digiprog3 clone bmw multi tool and r270 programmer
thanks for all your help
