Help to softmod Wii System Menu 4.0e Serial LEH27...

Greeetings.
I'm a complete newbiee to Wii, but I bought a new(virgin) Wii yesterday, it has System menu 4.0e, serial LEH27...., and it's not connected to the internet.
I would like to play backup (copied) games with it directly from a dvd-r.
Is that possible?
Is there a tutorial for really really dummies like me?
I have already look around the other topics but there are different opinions is there a simple way to do it?

i would also like help with this please i have a virgin 4.03 leh27 serial never been modded i need a full tut on how to do it please anyone all this ciso iso stuff is making me worry can someone set me right please

Does this guide also work for Version 4.0E, as thats the version I currently have on my wii.

Hi, does this guide also work for Version 4.0E, as thats the version I currently have on my wii. I've tried other Softmod methods but they wont load New Super Mario Bros?
