Carprog modification ???

hi, bro i have a confusion with the modification in carprog adapter A1 for using with opel or fiat DASH;
they claim to remove R102 resistor for doing correctly those cars !
the question is :when not doing fiat or opel cars,we need replace this resistor on A1 adapter or must let it without R102 ???
