Hello everyone.
My sister have a Honda Civic year 2000 1.4 IS, ECU: 37820-PHX-G11, and she have very strange problems with the car.
When she bought it, it was no problem at all, but now its cold over here, and the car wont turn over 3000RPM and the check engine is on.
I thought there is some problem with the ecu, so i got it apart to check some connection problem, or soldering problem, but i found nothing.
I went back to the car, plug it back and the car runs perfectly without faultcode.
Here the thing became strange. After 10 minutes, the problem came back. I've tried to clear the fault codes with no succes.
Back into the house, wait a lil time, plug it back and it turns again over 3000, no check engine.
I've decided to get it apart again, and warm up every IC apart. With this method i've found that if i warm up the 93lc46B EEPROM on the motherboard than the car is perfect. If i leave it to cool down than the problem is back.
I've checked several forum treads, but i found infos only about the IMMO system with 93lc46
I thought i'll try to read the eeprom, but im not sure if i will get the right info if the eeprom faulty.
Someone had the same problem? Any idea what i should do with it?
Thanks in advance
