Hello,i have a bmw 316 with ecu 0 261 203 660 and i put 318is with ecu 0 261 203 218.I dont know the procedure for this.I have inpa and carsoft.THANKS

well your 316i is 8 valve, and your ecu is off a 16valve 318is, id say its not possible to use that ecu, why are you changing it?

Hi,what modelyear is this car? And the engine from where the new one cames?

Maybee you have to recode key codes or to disable immo in new ecu to make start the engine....

I dont know to much for bmw,but on vw from one modelyear to the next generation ( golf2-3) the wires on ecu change,so take care of this eventually...

Hello.Yes i change the motor and i cant start the engine with ecu 318is.

change the EWSII transponderbox over, use the 318 reader loop and stuff the 318key behind the dash and deny all knowage.
