.......... you are big trouble with this clone. Even genuine tools can be and have sometimes problem with virtual reading. What you can expect this clone then?

Guys i know someone in Bulgaria selling eu clone and China reworked they are building olso a private server for vr reading for their customers , I don't trust this Russian guy , I have seen tool.from them and it look like China clone , and it was to expensive !!

My question is how much further do you think we can go with offline kess, genuine has lots of functions for online use and while we can work around VR files i can see it getting much harder with newer vehicles....

They have been changed all the components.
I own the original kess.
I can confirm that all the components on a classic Chinese PCB are fake.
The same MURATA filters are fake.
Total processing two days with possible tests on 3 ECU

I read in some other places that its possible to upgrade from Firmware 5.017 to 5.028 by just swapping SD card file. No need to change NXP chip...
Honestly i don't know if its true or not, but i would like to give it a try on my Kess 5.017 (Clone).
If anyone would like to share these file, i would be very thankful...

I think is wrong info. Protocol files are coded by an algorithm only for a certain version.
If protocol files different for 5.017 and 5.028, then you recive error message.

Honestly, i´m very newbie at this ECU mod / working with kess.
I bought my Kess V2 and K-Tag in January, and i´m just starting to learn things out...
I need to rework my Kess to make sure it works ok, although i had no problems reading/writing my Mazda 3 2015 ecu.
Only have one problem reading the ECU on my other car that is supposed to have ME1.5.5 protocol, but can read ecu...

About improving the SD card files, where can i download files and tutorials to do this? Can you point me in some direction?

OK. I know algo coding SD Card too, and maybe image file will enough. It is also good to receive CID number SD Card, but it is not obligatory.
I also know algorithms coding protocols in all older known for me version firmware KESS and KTAG, and all algorithms is different.

If your car is available in Ksuite, it will also provide pinout diagrams for direct connections or for a positioning frame.

Hello there... I already search and there is no info...
Because this is a Mexican Model, the ECUs are different (at least on the outside).
I already found several post / forums showing the connections for this ecu, but it seems that there are several variants...
Anyway, i already tried reading in bench with several connections, and same result...
I need to open the ECU and see the exact chip on it and sort out how to read this...
But thanks for the comments...
PS.: I found some updated versions of K-Suite 2.47 that i need to test to see if i have better results...

Hey. For £12 is NXP 5.017 not 5.028.

True firmware 5.017 and 5.028 is not available public, only ready programmed NXP 5.017 from aliexpress example for £12

I means i have kess 5.017 clone and 5.028 from russians.

I can make copy/backup my card from 5.028 put in clone 5.017 and have a look what heappends.. if from unknown me reason i brick nxp 5.017 how i said will be cost for me new nxp chip and time to solder of this.

I will share you in PM link for image 5.028 or you want files after decoded? I know how deconing image to files
but in sunday evening or monday afternoon

Does anybody has any news about V5.028? Can V5.017 be updated? Is there any EU version available?

What i also don't understand is how Kess V2 V5.017 is using Ksuite 2.47, but Kess V2 V5.028 is using Ksuite V2.34(older)?

I have Kess V2 V5.017 which is fine, i am just wondering what will be the advantages to upgrade to v5.028 . Can i read VAG EDC17 on OBD2 with it? what about BMW's F-series?

It doesn't matter what version of K suite you use, it matters what protocols you have enabled. All the later version will do it marry the protocols up to the make/model

............every SD image is unique and can create only after NXP upgrade installed. SD card and NXP(serial) is married with hardware what you use. Only way get this 5.028 or 5.030 is buy upgrade. This is not common china upgrade, sorry.
