Hey guys,

Let me start off by mentioning I have the latest version of both VCDS and VCP.

I've been trying to read into this for some time but I haven't found the answer yet. I hope you guys can help.

My brother owns a VW Polo 6R with a CBZC (66KW) engine. I've been trying to figure out a way to upload the original VW flash file for the CBZB engine (77KW). Reflashing is not really the issue, but fixing the immo code before or afterwards is. Both engines are mechanically identical, the only difference is the software.

I have the original ECU flash file (ECU part no 03F906070FJ) and the new flash file (ECU part no 03F906070JS), but before I flash away, I'm not 100% sure how to make sure that the car will start afterwards.

What are my options to update the immobilizer code?

Thanks for the advice!

You need an emulator to fix immo.
I have done one simos pcr 2.1 with emulator and car start!

Thanks for the response!

What would be a suitable emulator?

Seems using an emulator defeats the purpose of the immobilizer. I know lots of shops do this flash with OEM flash files. There must be a way to adapt the immobilizer without rendering it useless.
