get in touch with trading standards as the law is applied differently to custom-made products, they would be able to best advise you.

This is why we have developed a customer bill of rights that we aim to live by every day.

Our Customers' rights

* The right to feel special
* The right to be recognised
* The right to services and products that are adapted to their needs
* The right to freedom of choice
* The right to quality services and products
* The right to understand
* The right to always be considered sincere
* The right to have their interest protected
* The right to change their mind
* The right to be delighted

Im especialy interested in "The right to change their mind."
That screams to me that if your not happy with a product then by their own standards youve a right to a refund merely from changing your mind.

At the very least the optician should change your prescription lenses to plain old mono or bifocals free of charge.

if im certain im in the right with regards to getting a refund i just hit them with a spiel "This is fine sir/maddam, Bear in mind however that i happen to be a law student with an assessment due and im eagerly looking forward to the impending lawsuit thats just this moment begun heading your way. My legal fees will be nill here whilst your legal team will undoubtedly cost your company a fortune, id see a benifit of publicly defending my claim, both in terms of publicising my career and gaining cerdits for my studies. Whereas i doubt your company would see any benifit from the negative attention the press would undoubtedly spin on the situation."

That more often than not turns the entire situation around, irrespective of the fact that ive not had a days lecture regarding law in my life lol

If they were making you dizzy, maybe the PRESCRIPTION is wrong.

Go to one of the Competition that's doing FREE EYE TESTS and ask to keep the prescription [your Right] while your deliberating which to buy -- then check the two -- they SHOULD be the same......... [either the DISTANCE or CLOSE UP reading]

You will definitely have a come back at the Optician that did the original test if it's incorrect.... they should give you a free eye test [or you just present the "new" prescription] and replace the lenses for you with a "single" not "vari" type. .

You may find the quality of frames on the 2 for 1 offers to be disappointing ..... you get what you pay for!

Wait until the shop is busy -- then make a lot of noise -- they will do anything to shut you up!! [I know, I was that Man]
