Hi to all!
The ecu from a vectra B y16xe HSFI 2.0 can be replaced with hsfi 2.1 (from x16xe)?
If i clone flash and eeprom can be used hsfi 2.1?
I've tried to read flash with galetto and stops at 50%?
I've tried also with kess but gives error.

Ok...how can I read hsfi 2.0 flash....kess gives "id error" and galetto stops at 50℅

Just use carprog, extract pin(s) and config in car. 5 minute job.

This also available if I he uses HSFI 2.1 from z16xe?
He does not need to copy flash also?

Dunno. Needs to look at ECU diagram and fit anything extra in loom that needs to be there. I'd just try it 1st then see if anything comes up. Local scrapper must have shelves full of old vectra b ecus.

In my country hsfi 2.0 can't be easy to find. And the price is high. So...co clone hsfi 2.0 can I put flash in hsfi 2.1?

You can't clone hsfi2.0 in hsfi2.1.2.0 flash size is 208kb and for 2.1 is 256kb.Read pin with carprog and make adaptation.

Ok...but my engine is y16xe and the hsfi 2.1 has z16xe. It will work?

Post pictures of your ECU and of sticker on it. If my local scrapper has one he will let me have it very cheap.

via GlobalTis and SPS program the hsfi2.1 with your original VIN and Y16XE - ( tested and working ! )
try to clone only eeprom ...or extract pin(s) and config on car

I've written the eepron with carprog, from hsfi2.0 to hsfi 2.1 and the car started
