Hi all, bought a donor core, my old PCM failed. It's for my 2003 PT cruiser GT turbo edition.
I want to transfer its ROM onto the replacement. Have not discovered any tutorials about this board. I have transplanted quad pack chips before on mercedes benz computers. I'm not sure which chip on the board it is. I found a list of the chips, but searching them I didn't get a data sheets.
Another bonus would be to learn how to use a chip reader to download and write the ROMs.

Any help is appreciated. Attached is a photo with the case opened up and some details I found on other forums. There is of course a thick cover of silicon clear gel the manufacturer used over the board as some sort of waterproof defense.

That processor uses an two on-board 512 KB banks of flash EEPROM memory (for a total of 1 MB) to hold the code in addition to 36 KB battery-backed static RAM

Hi, yesterday I just buy the OBDSTAR F104 (http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Canada-Stock-OBDSTAR-F104-Fit-for-Jeep-Dodge-OBD2-Pin-Code-Reader-Car-Programmer/162871058382?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649) SKIM READ/WRITE ...
but I can't afford to get the expensive LAUNCH or DRB3 ! I only have a LAUNCH CRP123
So any other option ?
