2012 ford ranger with another used lcuster now odometer reads ----------------

hi all ive got a 2012 ford ranger dropped off to me to fix air bag problems

this car has been built from all differnet parts from wreckers
engine runs ok
the cluster is from another car and the odometer just has 4 or 5 horizontal lines instead of numbers

can I read the chip on back and change the vin to suit in the data
ive tried using my ford ids vcmii but it tries to log onto internet to reprogram the cluster

any info is greatly appreciated

ford ids i use to adapt cluster then km show again

ok thanks I'm running ids v93 so ill try load up a later VMware version and link the cluster up

i got ids 107 working and it asked me to go online and get data to reprogram the cluster which it did
but then i had to get the asbuilt data for the car which i dont have
so i will have to talk to some ford mechanics see what they can get me
