Original MK5 VW Golf RCD300 asking for code instead of 'LEARN'

Hi, I have never needed the code for my radio as it is the original one fitted from new and has always given the message 'LEARN' whenever I've had the battery disconnected.

My friend needed a radio so the plan was to lend him mine for a bit, but when we connected it to his car it asked for a code (which neither of us have) so we abandoned the idea.

But the problem is now I've connected it back into my car (the original car which the radio came from) it asks for the code instead of 'LEARN'

Has the 'Learn' feature somehow been reset since we tried the radio in a different vehicle?

Code must find if installed onto another car.
After entering code usualy displayed LEARN and just press FM button once and must be ok.
