2016 Subaru. airbag module: 98221AJ24A (TN150300-8120).
(93c86 eeprom ?)

damaged original srs module. so got another srs module same part number from same model car.

scan tool shows dtc errors and airbag light is on.
trying to clear codes get error "Disgnostic Codes in Memory Cannot be cleared".

So apparently it's 93c86s40

manufactured DENSO, its gonna be renesas mcu, it will work from another car

What codes are you getting? What scanner are you using?

98221AJ24A is from 2013 Subaru. Are you sure this is the correct module?

i found eeprom RA86, read it as 93C86, here is dump.
please check if there is crash in dump

98221AJ24A is from 2013 Subaru. Are you sure this is the correct module?

sorry this car is 2012 not 2016, my mistake, new module from 2012 too

Crash no in dtc .

1.Use this website http://www.worldoemparts.com/ to determine if this module is compatible with this car.
2.Clear ALL history faults, preferably with SSM3 or 4.
3.Make sure there is no other faults like ABS or ODS.

SRS light in Subarus usually goes OFF even if the "history" faults present but who knows.

Crash is for sure there, clear crash from it and all will be ok. Most likely will also need to clear crash from ODS unit in the seat also....

cleared crash and this still same codes

please check dump, maybe it wasn't cleared correctly ?

m8, your clear file looks OK, problem should be bad module or with different part number
