Hello folks,
I have a vw gof 2006 1,6l. I dont know the history of the car. It belongs to one of my friend which he had bought it from an auction. Problem with car is there is a SAFE sign o the dash all the time. Car can be started with the existing key etc no problem. Could some one please tell of a way to to get rid of the SAFE signe from the dash.
Appreciate your input

Sounds like you Have Golf 5 with Immo off ;-)
You can start the Car with Original Key and Dash show "Safe"

With safe and immo off tou should have error in dash (key not recognized).
Did tou check if leds removed from dash?

If dash is visteon this problem can be after mileage correction with some chinese tool because wrong checksum.
Do mileage correction with a good tool and you will solve the problem.
