I have a problem with my Smart in that it is absolutely gutless from 1500 to about 2100 RPM then it goes like a rocket from 2100 to the red line.
It also has a problem with oil level increasing due to diesel in the oil. I know these suffer from that but this is what I would call extreme. Car runs fine, no problems with anything else and no fault codes in Xentry.
I am wondering if it has been remapped. If I use auto mode the car will not go anywhere as it just changes up at 1900 RPM and has no power at all when I am just pootling around. If I thrash the car it really is fast for an 800cc diesel.
What I need is an easy way to tell if it has been remapped or if that is not possible then maybe a standard map that I can just stick on there. It is the late 2009 54 horse, not the 45 horse from early 2009.
Any info greatly appreciated. I did wonder if Xentry can give me checksums or something like that.
