Hello dear members of this fine forum!

Back in the days, when i first got my Lupo 3L, i had it remapped by some local "3L specialist" (At least what i thought back at that time). This resulted in a just slight increase of power, and no better fuel economy. So that was when i started learning about remapping myself. Unfortunately, i found out the hard way, that my EDC15P+ now had been locked and i could'nt acces it anymore. That cost me a new ECU, which i now am forced to have IMMO OFF on, due to the fact that i can't establish connection with this ECU anymore (At least for now).

However i noticed one thing; he had also changed the component coding (See picture attached) when accessed in VCDS, and this got me thinking: How can this be done? Can somebody maybe explain that? I can't seem to find any info on this somewhere.

Also, if someone has an idea to get the EEPROM data of the ECU without having to desolder the 8 pin chip, i would be really grateful too. Else, i am planning to boot it, once my MPPS arrives by the mail man.

Have a nice day all, and thanks in advance!

EDC15P+ locked ? It's fantastic))) In bootmode you can read it without problem. Why are you afraid desolder 24с04 ? But if this principle you can use vag k + can commander 1.4.
Also that to you prevents to change the data here?

Vasili you are really the man as always! Thank you very much.
And happy to hear that my plan with mpps might work, as i only have a fg tech for now.

The reason i didn't like to desolder the 24c04 was that i don't own an eeprom programmer (Yet). Not all nice tools are in the budget if you study for engineer :-)

And yes, i have tried with vag k+ can commander 1.4, and it just won't let me read the eeprom. Do you happen to have a good idea for that?

Thank you again for your help.

vag k+ can commander 1.4 not always work, but on edc15p usualy work good. If you realy want universal tool - buy tl866 with all adapters (about 80$), if there is no money at all - buy ch341a programmer (about 3$) or ezp2010 (about 12$).

Okay thanks. I start with the mpps and see if I can push on a new flash first, hopefully I can access the eeprom after that. Else I will get one of those programmers you mentioned. Thanks again.
